We’re hiring: Web Design Internship
Marquette University’s Office of Marketing & Communication is seeking a web design intern to join the interactive marketing team. Ideal candidates want to learn everything they can about designing and building websites. They want to work with writers, videographers, social media pros and designers to tell Marquette’s story in interesting ways.
Interns are allowed to work flexible hours by choosing the projects they work on. They can also work from home, but we ask that they spend some time at the start of the internship training and working in the office so they can learn and ask questions.

The interactive marketing intern is responsible for assisting in the maintenance of existing websites and the development of new websites.
Job Duties:
• Develop new websites
• Maintain existing websites
• Troubleshoot issues, solve problems
Job Qualifications:
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills, curious, resourceful, not afraid to ask questions
• Team player (respectful, flexible, diligent, likes to laugh and have fun but still serious about doing great work)
Plus:
• Up-to-date with latest Web trends and technology
• Familiarity with user experience best practices
• Familiarity with brand standards
• Experience writing or editing copy
• Experience editing photos
• Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
• Knowledge of CSS3 and HTML5
• Knowledge of Google Analytics
